The Flitner Ranch was founded by Arthur Flitner in 1906 with 160 acres. Since then, the family ranch has grown to holdings that encompass over 250,000 acres. Today, third-, fourth-, and fifth-generation Flitners work and reside on the ranch.
Ranching is a tough life and difficult market conditions have forced many ranchers to sell off their property for development. To preserve the cowboy way and continue ranching legacy, the Flitners recognized the benefits of branching out into guest hospitality.
The Hideout at Flitner Ranch -- an upscale guest resort on a working cattle ranch -- was established in 1992. Thanks to many loyal guests, this 100-year-old cattle and horse ranch continues to grow while offering the rare opportunity for guests to experience a “Step Back In Time”
